Windows is v. annoying - often it caches settings and then on restart loses them.
It now seems to be more networking than socketwrapper. Can you do some tests with AlienBBC using Squeezebox and not Softsqueeze. I am more familiar with it and there are more diagnostics. If you get AlienBBC working there is a good chance that WMA will be solved as well. It also eliminates Softsqueeze which can be another source of bugs. Using Squeezebox and not Softsqueeze, I assume that AlienBBC is still not working with Radio 4 live stream. All you see is "connecting". Run the following test using the WHS monitor (i.e. not from another PC on a browser). 1. Open SC web interface with a browser 2. Goto Settings/Plugins/AlienBBC - settings 3. Check MPlayer status is "Downloaded successfully" - if it is click the word "Test" A command prompt window should open and text should scroll up and then Radio 2 should start playing through PC speakers. If it is working then on last line of command prompt window you will see a buffer count increasing. When it reaches about 18.75% it should start playing. If it plays OK then you can either close the window or press "Q" on keyboard (assuming command prompt window is selected). Wait at least 20 secs - if it does not play OK and no audio then to copy text from window. 1. open icon at top LHS of command prompt window and select "Edit" and then "select All". 2. open icon at top LHS of command prompt window and select "Edit" and then "copy". 3.
