i'll take a stab at explaining it but corrections are welcome... as i understand it, the "default" position of a SB using SBS for net radio is to allow SBS to "start" the connection, but then the SB takes it over and handles it directly.
however, there is a function/setting in SBS that allows you to force SBS to receive the stream, then send it to the SB. ergo "proxy" btw, thats the ONLY way it is done when two SB's are sync'd, but if u have net radio dropouts and one one player, using the proxy setting can help. -- MrSinatra www.lion-radio.org using: sb2 & sbc (my home) / sbr (parent's home) - sbs 7.4.2b - win xp pro sp3 ie8 - p4(ht) 3.2ghz / 2gig ram - 1tb wd usb2 raid1 - d-link dir-655 - 35k mp3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70539 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
