I tested skipping within tracks some more, and you're right, it's unreliable, sometimes it works, mostly it doesn't! Indeed looks like a bug. I can confirm the two albums you mention are in MP3 format for me as well. Possibly Wimp never received lossless format files from the record labels of those artists? But surely the vast majority of music is in lossless form. I've been playing hundreds of albums the last six months and haven't seen any in MP3 format before those two you mention.
