Hi guys, I am trying Wimp HIFI now, and I am a bit confused because my Squeezebox web interface show me conflicting information when I play back songs from wimp.
I am running Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1406814226 @ Mon Aug 4 03:57:38 UTC 2014 with my receiver is running firmware 77. Now, when I choose "Flac or MP3" in "Streaming Quality" i can see that the track name in the current playlist has a .flac extension. As an example "wimp://54565353.flac". However, in the top expanded current track information it gives the full name of the song, artist and album. In the next line it says "256k CBR, MP3". If I switch "Streaming Quality" to "MP3", I can see that the track name in the play list change it´s extension to .mp3. The top expanded track information still says the same with "256k CBR, MP3". So do I actually get MP3 in 256Kbit no matter what file format it says in the track list, or is the information found in the expanded track information wrong? What do you guys see in the track information?
