I'll try to answer: First of all, Logitech Media Server and PiCorePlayer are pretty cool for multi-room setups. Also, the Soundsticks II/III are great and inexpensive speakers. If you add a HiFiBerry Dac to your Pi, then it will work and sound even better. A Server on a PC is OK, but for more convenience and less power-consumption I would recommend an Odroid U3 with the Max2Play image.
About Software: currently all exiszing streaming services are flawed, because they either have no official support (Spotify/Google Music) or outdated and incomplete support (Deezer, Wimp). Apparently there is a solution coming that should greatly improve on this. Keep and eye on the "ickstream" threads, apparently they'll be launching in a couple of days and will make better support for Deezer and Wimp/Tidal a reality, at least that's what they claim. We'll see. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CommanderROR's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59408 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102121 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
