To all users who only get an empty or incomplete artists list: could you please head over to https://developer.spotify.com/web-api/console/get-following/ (the Spotify web API console), check the "item type = artist" box, set the limit to 50, and run that query? Would you get results as expected, or does it fail there, too? If it fails, what happens if you set the limit to something smaller like eg. 10?
Background: that's the query we're using to get your artists list. I've sent a mail to Spotify engineering asking about this issue, as in one case I'm seeing that while we do get a response back from their API, the response does not return any data. Running above test could tell me whether the problem lies in my implementation or the Spotify backend. Thanks!
