I don't think paid membership would work because legal issues . Logitechs legally binding contracts with thier service providers is about providing services to squeezeboxes it would probably be a nightmare to re negotiate . Especially if you can't really specify what kind of player or service migth be at the other end or where . The problem is not only "dB issues" .How to solve the problem with non squeezebox players registered to mysb.com without removing them ? ;) this a part of the actual problem ,by now there must been a substantial amount of these kinds of players ? Suppose they let it slide when the problem was tiny compared to the real players . But now there is a real risk getting into trouble with thier service providers , they probably don't like a systems that streams to anything that's says hi :) and can not be expected to provide free infrastructure for other commercial entities . Besides some must have been living under a rock . I've had squeezeboxes for close to a decade now and I always known that mysqueezebox.com is for real squeezeboxes sold by slimdevices or Logitech and it has been a fluke that the soft players has been joining the ride . -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
