Given your "I don't use Pandora very often" comment, I'll add some commentary regarding the company. Pandora became available as a streaming service around 2005 and based on its Genome technology took off. You can read about its growth history in Wikipedia. It was Pandora's genome project that introduced listeners (me) to the wide range of alternative music genres and artists. That was 15+ years ago. DirectTV cancelled and rebooked SonicCrap streaming service. TV being so poor, I went 90% streaming music. At the prime Netflix provided some decent movies. But Pandora always lagged with services comparable to MOG or TIDAL for music acquisitions and playability. TIDAL dropped the price of their base subscription to $10. I had the Masters subscription for awhile but there are too few of the artists I like going the MQA route. In January 2019, Pandora was dumped/acquired by Sirius XM. At $5 @ month I signed up and its ok IF the genre you enjoy has lots of artists/albums. But the company now uses gimmicks to push higher subscription levels. TIDAL breaks occasional, but they get it fixed in a day or three. It was news to me that a large portion of Pandora's listing base is Country. No wonder New Age and Instrumental artists are few and far between.
