I am not a translation expert, but my understanding is that translators
should use standard PO format and translate only the user-visible error
"detail:" strings (and possibly "descr:" string but those are not
included in error pages right now, IIRC). If such a translation requires
The "descr:" strings may included in error pages because it is included
as "%%ssl_error_descr" formating code in "detail:" string
I have never used .po files, so maybe I am wrong, but my sense is that
the po entries for the following error details entry:
name: X509_V_ERR_UNABLE_TO_GET_ISSUER_CERT
detail: "SSL Certficate error: certificate issuer (CA) not known:
%ssl_ca_name"
descr: "Unable to get issuer certificate"
Should be something like the following:
#: templates/error-details.txt+X509_V_ERR_UNABLE_TO_GET_ISSUER_CERT:2
#
msgid "SSL Certficate error: certificate issuer (CA) not known:
%ssl_ca_name"
msgstr "SSL Certficate error: certificate issuer (CA) not known:
%ssl_ca_name"
#: templates/error-details.txt+X509_V_ERR_UNABLE_TO_GET_ISSUER_CERT:3
#
msgid "Unable to get issuer certificate"
msgstr "Unable to get issuer certificate"
I believe It is easy to create a perl script which creates (or add to an
existing) the above po file.
