Hello Robin Lynn Frank! Don't give up; it's worth the effort! With a little help the three of you will get it figured out. (Sorry, I couldn't help it.)
I printed out this page before I started the installation: http://www.squidguard.org/install/ I followed the instructions for the "less impatient", and I had to stop occasionally and search the net to find out what in the world they were talking about. Once I had it up and running, I used this page as reference as I was writing my configuration file: http://www.squidguard.org/config/ The effort you spend getting the package installed and configured will be well worth it in the long run. I'll be glad to help you with specific questions as you work through installing it. I looked at the squidguard site and became even more confused. If someone can either give me some hints as to what to do, where and in what order, I would really appreciate it. In the alternative, if someone knows of a link to a tutorial targeted at total morons, I'd appreciate it. -- Robin Lynn Frank Current Linux kernel 2.4.8-26mdk uptime: 0 hours 33 minutes.
