Getting any bang for your buck? IS your life amusement-impaired? We feel your boredom, and we care a lot. Get your ass on out to Berkeley Saturday, March 2nd and get your Action-Adventure-Happy-HA-HA! thirst quenched. IT'S THE GO GAME: The Go Game has been busy manufacturing yet another community game for March 2nd in Berkeley. We're pulled out all the stops: brand new missions, clowns and hullabaloo. Plus, we've got a new web site up to document all the heroic deeds of the day so you can re-live it again and again. Check out the past games and sign up at: http://www.thegogame.com So.... ONE DAY. 25 BUCKS. URBAN ADVENTURE! CORNY CATCH PHRASES! PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE! PEOPLE WITH PHONES RUNNING AROUND LIKE SPEED-FED BUNNIES. MAYBE EVEN WIN COLD CASH! ROCKET your SPROCKETS in the GO-GAME. The Go Game is a tech adventure game that's played in real places in real time. YOU will be on one of nine teams - armed only with cell phones, a digital camera, your sheer will to ick every other team's ass and your loopy mind. Your task winged one? Complete your assigned missions and record evidence of them. Laugh at your self and at everyone else as much as humanly possible. Say some survivor shit when questioned later. Look official and make strange noises when bewildered passers-by give you "the look". The cell phones are for downloading your missions, status, and scores from Headquarters; The cameras are for recording your exploits for later viewing and heckling by all. You'll be competing against the other teams and that fat black cat called father time. So be quick, be slick, and shake your tooshie dammit. Points will be awarded for time and style. Approach each mission creatively, thoughtfully, and with more chutzpah then a hooker at a swapmeet. Cost is $25 per player -- $5 of which goes to the Golden Egg of Eternal Happitude to be claimed by the winning team. Food stamps and checks not accepted, strictly cash-money. Be prepared to leave us your driver's license as collateral/deposit to insure the swift and sweet return of our phones and cameras. Each team must also present a credit card to be run and authorized upon start of the game. (Credit card not charged unless if equipment is not returned.) We provide the phone and camera. Game will last approximately 4 hours. Got it? Good. Here are the basics: Game day is Saturday, Mar. 2nd. Time is high noon. Location is UC Berkeley near BART stop (exact location to be announced) YOU MUST SIGN UP ASAP @ http://www.thegogame.com Eat a solid breakfast Wear walking shoes - 5 inch platforms not advised. Elvis sunglasses encouraged. Bring a backpack. Be ready to enjoy post-game snacks, cracks, and cold beverage (not included in price of game) at a local spot where you can kick back, judge other teams' missions, talk shit, and laugh your asses off with all the players.
