Well, this'd suggest that your SMTP server might not be listening on
localhost if you set SquirrelMail to use the outside interface.

This would suggest there are relaying rules setup on your server, and
it rejected based on that. Check the configuration, and make sure the
server you are connecting from (outside IP) is in the allowed hosts to
send mail.

>From this, could I be safe in guessing you're using 1.2.9? I think I
fixed this, or fixed an error like that when SMTP screwed up.
