RedHat use UW-IMAP I think

Yes, that certainly looks like UW-IMAP.

That wasn't the file I was thinking of. That file is so that UW-IMAP
doesn't miss-behave when reading the mail files. If you look in the
users home directory ( cd ~username from root ), then do ls -a there
should be a .file with imap somewhere in the name. Sorry my
description isn't so clear, off the top of my head I cannot remember
what it is. Check the permissions and ownership of that file.
