In my personal opinion, this is bad form, and results in a hell of a lot of
over quoting. It also makes an email thread difficult to follow... But
that is my opinion. I tend to find it easier to read an email in the
format:

---------------------------------------------------------
> Why did the chicken cross the road?
Because it wanted to...
---------------------------------------------------------

Rather than:

---------------------------------------------------------
Because it wanted to...

---------------------------------------------------------

Personal preference I guess. I find it annoying, illogical, and results in
a lot of over quoting. For example, if you reply to this email in the same
format, and others do too, all this stuff gets pushed to the bottom, when
to keep with the thread of the emails, you can normally get away with snips
of the email.

emails/day.

I deal with a lot more, and still prefer this format... Again, personal
preference I guess.

I dare say with a little work, it could be done. I'll see if I can find
out what is going on, and see if I can provide a patch.
