What IMAP?
Use SM 1.4.3. It is very stable (and already at the RC stage).
Plugins: spell, multilogin, retrieveuserdata, quicksave. Maybe filters, html-mail, msg_flags, dictionary.
Don't use client side filtering. Use server side solution and one of these plugins:
