I was hasty. I am still seeing the errors from php, just not errors when i hit the
"back" button. Matias Lopez Bergero in another thread has reported the same problems
I am still seeing, even after upgrading PHP to 4.1.2.

I can download and view a .jpg attachment. However if I click on the filename for a
.pdf or a .rtf, it appears in the browser window as
a hexdump. If I click on "download" it offers a default filename of untitledN.mixed
where 'N' is the attachment number. Saving as the
correct file name downloads a file that is bigger than the original in both cases
however not all is consistent.

.rtf file changed from 15292 to 15415 bytes and appeared ok on cursory inspection.
.pdf file changed from 167563 to 226360 bytes and was unreadable by acrobat.
Here's the interesting one:
a large (>1.5 MB) .pps was reduced to 226360 bytes as well. Is there something
special about 226360?

The second attempt to view a message with attachments (whether I attempt a download
the first time or not) produces the PHP error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
/opt/snet/web/htdocs/mail/class/mime/Message.class.php on line 680

Which requires logging out and logging back in.

Trying to download the same attachment twice in a row sometimes produces the error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
/opt/snet/web/htdocs/mail/src/download.php on line 92

It seems to me that this has been reported a few times over the past few months but I
don't see a standard resolution posted, or an acknowledgement that its a known bug.
I'm a decent programmer and can find my way around a PHP script (but its not a
language I am really strong in) if additional debugging is needed ... just send me
queries or suggestions and hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.

Thanks,
Ragnar
