hello guys i'm in real trouble with squirrelmail. first of all it works *perfectly* from the inside (at home), but when i try to connect to the engine on my home server from the outside (with a dyndns.org account) it won't work at all. every time i get the error 'beat.funk.net' (=the internal name of the server at home) does not exist/resolve. i changed *every* "localhost" entry i could find in the squirrelmail config files to the correct domainname, but this does not change anything. squirrelmail insist connecting to the wrong domain. how can i fix this? after hours of searching and experimenting i can not fix it :( i looked in the faq, documentation, asked on irc, on newsgroups, but nobody answers) .
i need to know why squirrel insists on connecting to the wrong domain. check it out yourself: http://funkie.dyndns.org/squirrelmail , you will notice it insists connecting to beat.funk.net. how do i change that? please help me out on this. i have really no idea what is causing this. it's probably a stupid mistake but i don't see it :( regards, -- kmd ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
