RedHat 8 has reached end of life, RedHat no longer supports it or offers
updates for it, fedoralegacy.org no longer supports it or offers updates
for it, the only organization that does offer updates is progeny I
believe. Unless you are using them I strongly recommend you upgrade the
box to the latest Fedora, Whitebox or RedHat Enterprise Linux release so
that you will have security updates. Otherwise, you may find yourself a
target for hackers/spammers/etc.

It's time for a major upgrade. RH8 is extremely old and exploits exist in
the wild for it. My recommendation would be to backup your data and
config files and do a clean install of Fedora Core 3 or RHEL4/Whitebox4.
Then get qmail set back up or consider switching to a more actively
developed MTA like Courier-MTA. Qmail does not include an IMAP4 server so
you'll need to use Courier-IMAP, Dovecot or BincIMAP all of which are
open source and fully support the Maildir format your mail is stored in by
Qmail. Again, I recommend a backup, clean install and migration to a
better supported platform like the full Courier MTA/IMAP. Have fun,

Jay
