My understanding of the install docs was that authdaemond was simply another
authentication module available and was not required to authenticate though
authvchkpw b/c the authvchkpw libraries are complied into sqwebmail and
therefor their functions were directly accessible to sqwebmail.

Remember to run /usr/local/libexec/authlib/authdaemond start
With sqwebmail-0.99 I know there is a problem with authdaemond using
authvchkpw against mysql. If you do run the authdaemond, stop and start it
again.
The authdaemond that comes with courier-imap-0.99 does not seem to have this
problem.
I've earlier reported the problem, but have not received any positive
feedback on this issue.
