I can't tell you for sure what your problem is, but I had allot of trouble with the authdaemon in SQWebmail. I got around this by disabling it at compile time like this...
./configure \ ..other options... --without-authdaemon \ --with-authvchkpw \ --without-authpwd \ --without-authshadow \ --without-authpam \ --without-authmysql \ --without-authuserdb \ --without-authldap Hope this helps. -- Fred Read Web In Motion Web Hosting and Managed Colocation [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.webinmotion.net Phone: (905) 261-3165 Fax: (905) 438-1468 "Mick Martin" <postmaster@kin To: "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> klink.com> cc: Subject: [sqwebmail] Re: Authenticaton 22/11/2002 10:28 AM The Versions are vpopmail 5.3.8 sqwebmail-3.3.7.2002 Mick [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: > > Hi Mick, > > What version of SQWebmail/Vpopmail are you using? > > PS: This information is handy to include with all posts. > > Regards, > > -- > Fred Read > Web In Motion > Web Hosting and Managed Colocation > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://www.webinmotion.net > Phone: (905) 261-3165 > Fax: (905) 438-1468 > > > > "Mick Martin" > <postmaster@kin To: "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > klink.com> cc: > Subject: [sqwebmail] Authenticaton > 22/11/2002 > 09:53 AM > > > > > > > Hello all > > I have what i hope is a small auth issue. > Out of the 4 accounts i created for my only virtual domain > only 1 is auththenticated by sqwebmail. the rest fail. > What is strange about this is that all 4 account have no problem > authenticating when using a pop3 client like Outlook express > > Any ideas on how to fix > My auth method is vchkpw. > Sincerly > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > Sincerly [EMAIL PROTECTED]
