Mr. Sam,

I've been going over the sqwebmail templates lately so
that I can create a custom WingNET look-and-feel to
sqwebmail.

During this period I've run across a few things that I'd
like to personally change in the C source with regard to
templating. I'd like your opinion and feedback on all of
these ideas because I don't want to continually patch
my software every time I upgrade.

So, with the above in mind, here is the first item in my
list (more to come at a later date):

1.) left.gif and right.gif

Currently sqwebmail graphically shows the user that
there are more messages to view in the folder view
by placing a hyperlink around the left or right gif. This
creates a blue (or purple if previously visited) outline
around the image.

My users generally find this confusing. I frequently
see them trying to click the arrow WITHOUT the box,
and sometimes they think sqwebmail is broken because
the arrow icons exist, but aren't clickable (the reality
is that they just don't have any more mail).

It would be much better, IMHO, if we could specify an
alternate image, or an alternate string of HTML, that
would be printed when it is possible to click on the
left and/or right arrows.

I'm willing to code this and submit a patch (this is kinda
trivial really). What do you think?

I've got a few more ideas to run by you later, but I want
to think about them a little longer before I do so.

Thanks!
