Sam,

The messages regarding vpopmail which are displayed when building sqwebmail (no matter how prominent) are obviously not cutting it in this regard.

You think there's any possibility of cutting the noise on this list by adding a prominent note mentioning "vpopmail needs to be upgraded" to the list's welcome message?? -- Maybe that would help. You think?

Just a thought.

Hello all,
I am running the following:
RedHat 9.0
vpopmail 5.2.1 (installed and works fine)
sqwebmail 4.0.3 (installed and NOT working)
I am also running other miscellaneous qmail things (qmailadmin, clamav, spamassasin, etc)
I compiled and installed vpopmail 5.2 1, it works and is currently serving mail. I have also compiled and attempted to install sqwebmail. Here is the ./configure line i used:

If you were paying careful attention to the screen when building sqwebmail, you would've certainly noticed a rather prominent message informing you to forward all vpopmail-related issues to the vpopmail mailing list.

Had you done so, someone would've informed you that this is a known bug in this old version of vpopmail, and that you must upgrade.
