Correct , redis cannot be removed and it's using ndb_redis so should
be fine. I will check exec module.

when you said there is a conflict between syslog and sig handling, the
script is printing a lot of INFO xlog. Do you think that I should
remove all INFO messages? Normally they are suppressed by the OS. They
are helpful in investigation but I can remove it if they are hurting
stability.
