Trent, it's early in the year, but you are certainly in the running for "Small-
Scale Live Steam Evangelist of the Year".
Good going!
My son, Graham, now 16, has been a fixture at every Diamondhead Steamup
since the second one. Remember the equipment trust contract when he
decided he had to have his own engine?
This year, he's not going. I know what we have all been saying -- wait until he
discovers cars and girls, and it's all over. Not so. He's really disappointed,
but he's got too much school work, and there's a big deadline for the
yearbook (he's assistant editor this year) that falls on the Friday of DH. So,
he and his Cricket will be here while I'm off having fun in Mississippi. And
he's editor-in-chief of the yearbook next year, so he probably won't be able to
do it in 2002, either. Sigh. It had to come, but it's sad.
But, he did get a call from a girl at 8:15 this morning, and he's going out to
tune up the carburetor on his car this afternoon
