Well Gents consider yourselves lucky for getting to rush for those last minute
details. I will be starting over again this year. I'm not complaining really, but
something seems to happen every year right before DH.
A fellow that I work with has a son who has recently been bitten by the steam
bug. He (the son) recently bought a little stationary engine from me that was in
need of cosmetic repair. After saving all his money from doing odd jobs (for the
past couple of years if I understand correctly) and what he received for
Christmas, he bought my little Ruby and a gondola. I really didn't hesitate about
selling it because I knew that she was going to a good home where she would
receive a lot of love (sob, sniffle, cry). He recently discovered what I did a
few years back. Stationary steam is fun, but it just doesn't have much action
involved. A live steamer running around the track. Now that's fun!
I really hadn't gotten too far with all the mods that I wanted to get done and
gave him all the parts that I had started on. Now I'm back to where I started
from. (and happy about it!)
My only problem now is that everytime I build something for my Ruby, I'll have
to build one for him too. (did I just call that a "problem"?)
Expect a LOT of pictures to be taken of your Ruby's guys. I'm building again.

Later,
Trent
