I think that oil in the boiler is a different problem than having had surfactants in there. The main surfactant had glycol in it. But Keith Taylor suggested that I boil some and SEE if any residue is remaining. I think that I'll try that this evening. It may be that boiler contaminants have nothing to do with my problem (the one with the boiler - my other problems are not nearly as important as getting my steamer to steam).
