Enrico Daga commented on STANBOL-39:
------------------------------------
I agree on having multiple names for kres. The only drawback is that we should
also split some general bundles (kres.api, kres.jersey) in different bundles,
and this is not only a metter of renaming but needs more refactoring.
If we want to start renaming things without additional work, we need to keep
top-level names. This is difficult for kres, I do not like the reasoner name in
particular since this have a very precise meaning in the semantic web
community, as Valentina said.
So we could go on by removing the top level name.
I propose these names:
stanbol.omanager (for managing ontologies and rules)
stanbol.refactorer (for refactoring of graphs)
stanbol.reengineerer (converter form dbms, xml, ... -> rdf)
stanbol.reasoners (to plug reasoners)
And then:
merge kres.jersey in stanbol.web
split kres.api in the related bundle (onm api in omanager, refactorer api
in refactorer)
But this would need more effort then simply renaming at the first stage.
