OK, you can get some general information from URI. But how about technical
information, like player name (and version), format (codec/container),
bitrate, file size, sample rate, channels etc.
If XEP-0118 is going to be a successful replacement to ever-popular "i am
listening to" sort of plug-ins, it would be good for it to support a lot of
different elements, not just the basic ones. If you leave it as it is now, i
think we'll see many different additional non-standard tags inside <tune> in
coming years. Inclusion of such tags will not break compatibility with
XEP-0118-compilant clients, so nothing would stop people from doing this.
