it would be good for it to support a lot of
different elements, not just the basic ones. If you leave it as it is now, i
think we'll see many different additional non-standard tags inside <tune> in
coming years. Inclusion of such tags will not break compatibility with
XEP-0118-compilant clients, so nothing would stop people from doing this.

You may be right. But first I think we need to do some research to see what information is really of interest.
