Hmm, you're right. The DNS-SD discussion is about fixed device ids with a separate name attribute. The XMPP discussion is about having random ids with a separate name attribute. So yeah they don't really match up. Probably the only point to take home from the DNS-SD discussion is to question whether the extra complexity of having two values instead of one is worthwhile. -Justin
