I just thought of something else:If you subscribe a bot that sends you messages, maybe you only want it to send messages when you use a special resource. If we instead use random resources, that bot needs to ask caps from *EVERY* resource I'm connected with and search for the name of the resource it should send messages to. This is far more complex then using a resource with a name.
Many seem to bring the argument that for a resource like "Laptop" etc., you can't parse that automatically. For that, we could *add* something in the caps, which does not replace the resource. The resource should still be something human readable. Hiding the human readable string somewhere and replace the resource by something random is only going to make it harder and solve nothing.
