It looks like lync uses both _sip._tls and _sipfederationtls._tcp:

Either way I really don't think it matters at all, I'm fine with either:

_xmpp-client._tls
_xmpp-server._tls

or:

_xmpps-client._tcp
_xmpps-server._tcp

or even:

_xmpp-tls-client._tcp
_xmpp-tls-server._tcp

It doesn't matter at all to me. :)
