P.S. The java bindings for Olm are at 
http://matrix.org/git/olm/tree/android/olm-sdk/src/main/java/org/matrix/olm and 
work well. Someone was also working on decoupling it from Android a few days 
ago, if that's a concern, and seemed to be making progress: cf
