Hi, Lee.
No, my old CD-ROM is SCSI, and I kept it in. There was nothing plugged in
my ATAPI port, so that's where the Yamaha is now. I can boot off either
one. There is an internal part to the SCSI chain, and that's where my old
CD-ROM is plugged in. I have a SCSI Zip drive inside as well, and a scanner
and another Zip drive outside. The SCSI port on the back is the end of the
inside chain. Inside and outside SCSI devices must all have different IDs,
and must not total more than 7.
My computer is a StarMax 3000 by Motorola, upgraded to a 300 MHz G3. It has
a 4400 motherboard.
Lou
