Just picked up a Maxtor ATA100 45G drive to add to my SM5275...Newer G3
upgraded....

Before I crack the cases and start the process...does any one know the
length needed for the new ATA cable to connect the new drive, the
existing 4G drive
and the IDE controller? The 5275 is the tower model, so drives park in
the front 3-1/2" bay and the rear 3-1/2" bay.

Stock ATA ribbon lengths are 18" and 24"...I suspect 18" is fine, but I
don't want to buy it and then find I need the 24" or vice versa!

Any words of wisdom?

Thanks,

Kurt
