Last spring I took a PowerComputing clone to the doctor, who prescribed that I throw it into the garbage then and there. Then he said he happened to have a used Starmax 3000/160 on hand that I could have for a song. Well, I needed some sort of computer because I support myself with these things, so I took the Starmax off his hands.
I've been using it for about 6 months and it's nice enough but terribly slow and I've been thinking that I need to put a G3 into it. This morning I spent some time poking around in the list archive but didn't find much in the way of recommendations. For example, will Sonnet products work in this machine? I found a nice price on a Sonnet G3 400 for a PCI slot. Can I use it? If not, what should I look for? Thanks.
