No you can't use it, the starmax is upgrade challenged, and the only upgrades which will work are those which plug into the L2 cache slot. Like the Sonnet Creshendo L2 upgrade http://www.sonnettech.com/product/crescendo_l2.html, which happens to be the only upgrade still in production. You might be able to pick up a Newer or Metabox card somewhere, but they're no longer in production.
