Hook it up just as if it were a cassette deck, ie use the tape monitor out
and connect that via an adapter (RCA to stereo miniplug from Radio Shack)
to the mic input.

OTOH that isn't what I would do at all. Ihave excellent recordings on vinyl
and about $4k in my turntable and phono playback system (just the phono,
not speakers or amps etc.), so when I get around to transfering to digital
I will be spending a few hundred bucks and using at least a semipro level
of sound input card. Take a look at some of the stuff at www.hoontech.com.
