Oh, sorry - I meant unplug it from the socket strip - it has no power
switch.

Either that, or copy over the Iomega Guest application (or whatever the Mac
equivalent is called) off the driver disc and run that when I ever want to
use it.

I don't want that option running, so as long as it stays off, that's fine.

Curious... I didn't read any warnings about continuous hard disc access used
to preserve the count. It could just write out the state when you stop or
start it, and calculate the current time from the last time that it was
started, but if you turn the Mac off when it crashes, it will count all the
down time too.

I will have to go back and read the manual on this one.
