I just had a hellacious weekend trying to load 9.1. I have a 300/180 with a Sonnet
G3/400/1mb L2 Cache, an ATA 66 card running a 40GB HD, the original 2G HD, plus an old
SCSI 160mb HD. I loaded 9.1 on the 40G drive, restarted, and the 'puter froze after
getting most of the way through boot-up. I then, using the CD as the startup disk,
moved everything off my 2G drive, reformatted that and tried a clean install of 9.1.
I got the same result, although twice it let me start running the setup program
before it froze. I was finally able to delete 9.1 from the 40 G driver and get my
backup copy of 8.1 back on that drive, so all is not lost, but I can't figure out why
9.1 doesn't seem to work. It seems to work fine when I use the CD as the startup disk.
Any suggestions? I am at my wits end...

Stan
