Maybe I missed where this thread started, but I've never replaced the battery or pushed any cuda switch in my starmax 5500/200 ever since day one. I keep it plugged in unless I'm moving furniture. I turn it on from the keyboard, it crashes once in a while, not much, has 2 internal hard drives, an external modem, a scanner, a burner, printer connected, original CDrom drive works with the old 7.6 extension. The only thing I've ever replaced is the hard drive in my 2 year old iMac cuz it died. Even my performa from 95 still works, same battery. KOW! :) Kari
