I somehow knew I was leaving out vital info... :-)

>What os are you using ?

8.6.1

>Have you rebuilt the desk top lately ?

Yes.

>Have you used Norton or Disk warrior to check your disk ?

I have NDD v. 1 and I ran it. It fixed lots of small errors
(incorrect bundle bits, etc. Yeah, like I know what a bundle bit is)
<G>That brings up another question: I bought Tech Tool Pro and it
consistently tells me no problems were detected, yet NDD always finds
something to correct. How come? Anyway, back to the point...

>Maybe your disk needs defraging.

NDD did that, plus optimized it. I have plenty of disk space left,
and regularly get rid of browser caches and mail junk.

>Is virtual memory on or off?

Off.

>Which browser are you using?

I have 3 installed (NS, iCab, and IE (my kid insists on using that)
and it bogs down no matter which one I'm accessing.

>I don't like that sound of making coffee, especially if there's no odor.

My Max has always made noise like that, but after it bogs and starts
back to work, it seems louder than usual.

>Don't give up!

Never. :-)

Thanks,

Roxylee
