My SM 2000 250 will not start. I hear the chime and drive spinning. Monitor stays dark. After about 5 seconds -- nothing. Monitor says "no signal," then goes to sleep mode. I tried inserting boot disk and holding C key-- also tried P-RAM. Nada. I have never replaced the clock battery. Would a dead battery cause this behavior? My intuition is that it is a hardware problem. (OS 9.2, 30 GB HD, 128 ram, USB card, ethernet card.)
