Failing 17" NEC monitor

After nearly eight years of heavy use, my 17" NEC monitor is starting 
to fail. Symptoms include one or another of the colors dropping out. 
Mostly, I think it is green that's failing because the screen turns 
mostly pink. Cables seem to be fine as is the video card.

I suppose that's understandable after the use it has gotten.
I _almost_ bought a used G4 with monitor for the price of a new LCD 
monitor. I called too late though.

That was close! My StarMax MT 5000/250 w/350 G3 Sonnet keeps on doing 
its tasks. I guess I'll keep it for a while longer.
