You need Disk Warrior to possibly correct this, as
long as the hard drive is not physically damaged.
Norton Disk Doctor (found on the SM Reinstall Software
Disk) might help if you absolutely can not get DW. You
did not say what system is on the SM.
If worse come to worse, reformat the hard drive from
the SM Install Disk, but you will lose all the data
and programs on the hard drive.
