I have a personal laserwriter NTR connected by Localtalk to my Starmax 5000/250 runnning 9.1 or 8.6

The laserwriter runs well except when I try to use landscape mode in legal size. It starts the print about 4 inches inside the left margin and stops about 4 inches from the right margin. It is as though everything is shifted to the left by 4 inches.

This happens with system 9 or 8 and with Word or Clarisworks. I am using Laserwriter 8 software. It seems like it must be something wrong with the printer.

Is there an easy fix or is the printer bad?

I know that I can stick with letter size, but my son wants to use legal for some of his school work.

Thanks,
Bill
