I am really, really disappointed in you. You seem to have utmost disregard for the effects of spam on people's inboxes and the responsiblity that places on you as the maintainer of mailing lists. I've compared the two archives, and both of them contain the very latest messages. Those stored on the mail server are unnecessary duplicate copies of those in the official archive, that you don't tell anyone about to begin with. If you really need them there as back-up copies, ask MacLaunch to grant access to the list to subscribers only as is already done with some of the lists. This "purging" notion is not helpful, the "short-term" archive goes back about a year or more, so that's so very reassuring. So I can rest assured that my address will be sitting there for another year waiting to be found. I have just attempted to visit the "main" MacLaunch site to find someone more authoritative to contact, but all I see there is a Yahoo store with a dubious address. Either way, I'm leaving this list, I've had enough of this nonsense. Hopefully in time the addresses will vanish into oblivion too but I am not very hopeful. Given that I'm pretty much only on this list now to offer help to other StarMax users, it's nice to know that the best I can expect is to be treated like this. Thanks.
