Well, I feel a bit embarrassed to have to report that this issue
seemed to have resolved itself... After I changed the domain
(statusnet) to something else in bind_textdomain_codeset("statusnet",
"UTF-8"); (lib/utils/php) and back again, at some point things started
working, even though for a while it seemed to alternate between not
working and working after every reload.Anyway, false alarm, sorry about that.
