Qt 5 has been touted for a number of months and I agree it looks like it has 
the potential to solve some of the problems of the earlier versions.
However it is now only in the alpha stage so lets not be too hasty to get 
involved until it reaches the full release level.  I expect it to be a mammoth 
program and will require advanced CPU performance to realise its potential. 
After all we have only just adopted what will probably be the last release of 
Qt4 (Qt 4.8.x). Judging by previous releases I doubt if the Linux distros will 
catch up with it for some time which means that it will need to be built from 
source.
