Torrey, you must have missed part of this conversation. When I did my
original putback into build 44 of Solaris Nevada I had tested with
Windows and it worked just fine. Several people who started to use the
target with Windows reported that it didn't work. I scratched my head
since I had a Windows machine in my office that was connecting without
any problems. Due to some changes in the hardware that I have available
I got a different Windows machine which didn't have the initiator
loaded. So, I downloaded Microsoft's latest and greatest. At that point
I started noticing the same problems that others had seen. I sent a note
out to the alias to let folks know that I had finally reproduced the
problem and that I would be working on it. Unfortunately, I'm not
sitting on my backside just waiting for work to fall out of the sky and
need to prioritize things. I consider this a high priority problem, but
not the highest on my plate right now.

The iSCSI target running on Solaris should work with a Windows
initiator. If not...then it's a bug.

Thanks. When the iSCSI target works with Windows it will be a great
way to get Solaris back into my organization. I have been showing
project managers the specs of the "thumper" servers and they are
excited about the server's capabilities. We were pretty bummed when
the iSCSI target wouldn't work with Windows. Thanks again for your work.
